From North to South, across all of Orange County, thousands of us have worked tirelessly for new future, a future based on co-operation, not confrontation, a future based on consensus, not litigation. Now, as we await the verdict of the voters, I thank all of you, everywhere, who have contributed so much to my own campaign and to our County’s future.

The long shadow of the El Toro airport scheme will soon be lifted. The open sore on our county will soon be healed. Unlike other campaigns, the voters’ voice tonight will be heard and obeyed. There will be no more appeals. There will be more delays. There will be no more cynical backroom deals. Tonight we move forward together.

From my headquarters in Downtown Fullerton, I await the verdict on my own campaign to be a new voice on the Orange County Board of Supervisors. Hopeful, and humble, I again thank all of those who worked so hard, and to the voters of  the Fourth District in whose hands I trust my future.
