The March 2002 initiative will change the County General Plan for El Toro. The current aviation land use designation will be removed. It will be replaced with non-aviation land use designations that allow the development of park, educational and recreation uses and a nature preserve. It does not require specific projects to be built, but permits uses similar to those shown above in the City of Irvine plan.
