Note  (1) Enplanements are approximately half of the reported "passenger operations", with deplanements constituting the other half.  Eg. A 7.4 MAP operating statistic for John Wayne would consist of approximately 3.7 million enplanements and an approximately equal number of deplanements.

Source: Terminal Area Forecast (TAF) System

     The 1999 TAF contains historical aviation activity data and FAA's forecasts for
     more than 400 airports receiving FAA and contract tower and radar service. This
     database also includes projections for more than 3,000 other airports in the National
     Integrated Airport Plan. The forecasts, covering fiscal years 1999-2015, project
     activity of four major users of the United States air traffic system: air carriers, air
     taxi and cummuters, general aviation, and the military. The FAA uses these forecasts
     to meet its budget and planning needs. Airport sponsors, state and local aviation
     authorities, others in aviation industry, and the public are free to use the data.
