ANTI-AIRPORT AT EL TORO

El Toro Info Site. The original El Toro airport website, founded in 1996 and funded entirely by its volunteer staff and viewers. The principal source for all the news and research, both good and bad for the airport and park. Has a stated anti-airport editorial policy.

The El Toro Chronicles.  A lively long-running volunteer message board frequented by anti-El Toro activists and brave members of the pro-airport camp.

City of Irvine Great Park.  Webpages on the city's site. Provides the latest maps, documents, and general information about the development and the activities of the Great Park Corporation.

ETRPA.  The El Toro Reuse Planning Authority website is archived on the El Toro Info Site. The old www.etrpa.com is gone.

The Open Water Plan.  A humourous jab at Newport Beach and its efforts to shift their airport onto others. Not updated for years.

AWGPAC. An out-of-date anti-park website from the Airport Working Group. Posted selected news on a monitored message board, especially anything that is critical of Larry Agran and the City of Irvine.

OCgreatpark.org A website created by pro-airport groups, expressly for the March 5, 2002 campaign against Measure W -  the OC Central Park and Nature Preserve initiative. (Out of date and redirects to AWGPAC)

Eltoronow.  Website of the Newport Beach-based Airport Working Group. Strictly pro-El Toro airport spin.  Links to pro-airport sites only. Funding and direction is the same as for the ocgreatpark.org site. (Out of date.)  Click here for the AWG's financial reports.

OCXeltoro.com  CharlesGriffin and Russ Niewiarowski's site promoting an alternate V-plan airport which they contend is superior to the County's plan. (Out of date since 2003.)

Eltorotoday.com.  The TNMG, Inc. offspring of The New Millennium Group created by Griffin and Niewiarowski. (See above.) Ann Watt, Bill Turner and others in Newport Beach are promoting El Toro for commercial aviation to prevent greater utilization of John Wayne airport. (out-of-date)

OCRAA. The Orange County Regional Airport Authority, a group of North County cities, is promoting El Toro airport.  (Out of date. The site is now the City of Garden Grove's) For more current information check this website's page about OCRAA..

Coalition for a Truly Regional Airport Plan. El Segundo-run group seeks to limit the expansion of LAX by building airports elsewhere and particularly at El Toro. (Out of date.)

AirFair.  Newport Beach area group focused on blocking future grow of John Wayne Airport. Motto: "10.8 and lock the gate."

Orange County El Toro Master Development Program. The pro-airport county website was taken off line in 2001. The abandoned eltoromdp.org URL was later registered by the Airport Working Group. Regional Commission on Airport Affairs (RCAA) This group has been fighting the expansion of Seattle-Tacoma Airport for over 10 years. Extensive library of research reports on environmental, social and economic impacts of airports, plus lots of political and organizational experience dealing with airport issues.

Seattle Council on Airport Affairs SCAA is primarily in the Seattle area, and its purpose is to educate citizens, gather information, and help communities on issues related to the negative impacts of airports and aviation in the Puget Sound region

Alliance of Residents Concerning O'Hare (AReCO) Group fighting expansion of Chicago's O'Hare. Leadership group in the nation-wide Citizens Airport Watch.  Excellent information on airport related pollution.

PANIC  Website of the Peninsula Aircraft Noise/Safety Information Commitee concerned with LAX departures over the Rancho Palos Verdes, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach area.
