The El Toro Coalition (ETC)

The purpose of the ETC is to establish and improve communications and
relationships among organizations that oppose the County's plan for a
commercial
airport at the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station or that are working to
produce responsible non-aviation alternatives for the reuse of El Toro.
Coalition meetings are limited to representatives from member groups
listed
below, and other invited organizations. Meetings provide a forum for
discussion
of current issues, dissemination of information, coordination of
tactics
and selected activities, and the creation of strategies and action
plans.

Toro Reuse Planning Authority (ETRPA)

The coalition of ten city governments originally responsible for El
Toro Reuse Planning. The ETRPA is comprised of the cities of Aliso
Viejo,
Dana Point, Irvine, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna
Beach,
Laguna Woods, Mission Viejo and Ranch Santa Margarita.
ETRPA
created the Millennium Plan non-aviation alternative for the base
property.
ETRPA leads litigation and lobbying efforts against the airport.

Toro Coalition, its member groups and others holding similar concerns
about
the future use of El Toro. It is an all volunteers, viewer financed,
grass
roots project.
