Estimated passenger travel (Million Annual Passengers) by airport in the SCAG region.
Total passengers includes connecting and in-transit passengers
O/D (Origin/Destination) passengers. Those who start or end
their trip in the region as opposed to those connecting between flights
or transiting the region on a through flight without leaving the airport.
Orange County O/D passengers including
OC residents, business travelers and tourists.

1 1993-2001 Total Passenger data from SCAG collected Regional Data Statistics.
2002 data from Airport
Council International. LAX did not start collecting data on
in-transit passengers until July 1997. Therefore, the LAX total passenger
figure of 47.8 for 1993 is approximatley 3% low.
2 Estimated percent of O/D passengers at LAX provided by
LAWA. 62 % in 1993. 67% preliminary estimate in 2000-2002..
3 OC was 14% of O/D in 1993
