In March and July 2003, Applied Management & Planning Group conducted 1,298 intercept surveys at Ontario International Airport. The surveys were split approximately equally between peak (summer) and off-peak travel periods.

According to LAWA, 6.5 million annual passengers (MAP) used ONT in 2003. 

Applying the survey findings, ONT passengers divide as follows:
