How Did They Vote Before?

A Summary of voting by city
on an airport at El Toro
1994 Measure A and 1996 Measure S

Measure A passed.  It mandated that MCAS El Toro be developed as the county's principal airport.

Measure S attempted to overturn A, but failed.
The laws regulating ballot measures required that citizens vote "yes" to overturn Measure A.
Therefore, an anti-airport position required a "yes" vote on Measure S.
